Anatomy and Physiology: Neuroanatomy
GeneEd
Certificate of Completion
immediately upon successful completion.
The nervous system controls,
organizes and communicates with the various tissues
that make up an organism. It is the primary command
center of the body. Every perception, be it taste,
touch, smell, or sight is mediated through the
nervous system. Every action begins with nervous
system activation. The various components of the
nervous system integrate sensory information
gathered from the body and relay it to the brain,
which ultimately determines the appropriate
response. This course describes the anatomy and
physiology of the nervous system, and presents the
different imaging techniques currently in use to
study nervous system physiology and disease.
Nervous System Terminology Certification - $9.95
The Nervous System Terminology Test has been
developed to test important concepts and terminology related to
the field of Neuroscience. The test assesses the test taker's
knowledge about various parts of the nervous system, their
growth, causes inversely affecting it and the treatment. Taking this
highly recognized certification is an excellent way for you to
prove your professional prowess to employers while giving a
boost to your resume.
Anatomy and Physiology 101
This self-paced anatomy and physiology course
will cover all the bodily systems playing a major role in human
anatomy. The material is presented in a practical and
comprehensive manner. The focus of the course is on the need to
know facts that must be understood in order to pursue any
healthcare career or related education in the field of science. |

The Vertebrate
Nervous System receives stimuli from receptors & transmits information
to effectors that respond to stimulation and regulates behavior by
integrating incoming sensory information with stored information (the
results of past experience) & translating that into action by way of
effectors.
Internal or cellular respiration is the process by which
glucose or other small molecules are oxidized to produce energy: this
requires oxygen and generates carbon dioxide. External respiration
(breathing) involves simply the stage of taking oxygen from the air and
returning carbon dioxide to it.
