As all cat owners
know, individual cats have very different personalities. This is why
people who seek to clone their cats – if the technology does become
feasible – are in for a disappointment if they think they'll get an
exact replica.

Cat Care Basics
If you're a new cat owner, this course is for you.
Understanding a cat is not as simple as understanding a dog.
Cats can possess a Buddha-like calmness that exudes wisdom but
then exhibit psychotic-like behavior when confronted with a
different brand of litter or feeding bowl or (heaven forbid) a
new furniture arrangement.
Animal Health and General Care from A to Z
This class is designed for the dog owner to acquire
the necessary knowledge and skills to train their dog to be a well
behaved companion. Your instructor, a certified master dog trainer
with 22 years experience will serve as your guide. The primary
focus is on socialization, bonding, communication, manners, basic
obedience control and solving common behavior problems...
Understand Basic Cats and Dogs First Aid
Would you know what to do if your puppy chewed
through the insulation to the hot wires of a table lamp? Are you
planning a vacation with your pet as a companion? Or, do you
perhaps live in a rather remote locale, far away from the nearest
veterinarian? In other words, are you prepared to help your cat or
dog in an emergency? No? Then this class is for you.

The Great Debate: Indoor Versus Outdoor Cats
Most U.S. cat experts
– the Cat Fanciers Association, humane organizations and others – are
continually trying to reach the public with the message that keeping
cats indoors protects them from disease and all manner of dangers. Risks
of outdoor life include exposure to infectious diseases, such as feline
leukemia, feline immunodeficiency virus, feline infectious peritonitis,
and rabies; injury or death occurring on busy roads; and attacks by
predators.
Living With Your Cat, Part 1
Tabby is a trip. She snuggles, she purrs, and then she .
. . leaves dead animals on your doorstep. She also coughs up hairballs,
chews through wool sweaters, incessantly pulls out her own hair, and
will only drink water in very particular ways. Although you might wish
you could train Tabby to live in your house, you just might need to
adjust to life in Tabby's house.
Destructive Cats
If your cat is chewing and scratching your house to
pieces, he is probably trying to tell you something – that you aren’t
meeting his needs! Cats are naturally curious and need an appropriate
space, such as a play center, where they can climb, rest and scratch to
their heart’s content. You should also provide toys for your cat to bat
around; spring-mounted, dangling or bouncy toys are best. If you have an
indoor-only kitty that has little access to grass or other vegetable
matter, you may want to offer him lettuce or catnip to discourage him
from chewing on your house plants.
Litter Box Training
Litter box training doesn’t have to be a grueling chore.
In fact, it can be relatively easy and very successful if you devote the
appropriate time and patience.
