The larger your
bird’s cage, the better. The absolute minimum size that your bird’s cage
should be is at least two wingspans wide. The width and length of the
cage is more important than its height. Your bird should be able to flap
his wings without hitting them on the sides of the cage, and without
hitting his toys and perches.

Keys to Keeping a Bird Healthy
Pet birds are often
characterized as easy to care for when well but almost impossible to
deal with when sick. The reason is simply that birds properly cared for
to begin with rarely get sick.
Pet Bird Care, Part 1
Advances in the
domestic breeding and rearing of birds has led to an improved
availability of healthy, tame, young birds. This increased availability
has dramatically increased the popularity of birds as pets. For many
people, the company of beautiful, unique, and possible talking pets can
make keeping birds an attractive alternative to other pets.
Is Your Bird Overweight?
Believe it or not,
there is such a thing as a fat bird. Too many seeds, too little flying
or climbing and suddenly you could be looking at a serious health
problem. Here’s what you need to know to make sure your bird stays in
shape.
How to Stop Your Pet Bird from Biting
Biting is annoying
and can even be dangerous, but since birds are prey species, punishing
them can be damaging – both physically and emotionally.
