Isolating I/O Imbalances .
The first step recommended in any of the many tuning
book and Oracle manuals is to separate indexes and data into separate
datatfiles. This is all well and good but how do you determine if and
where you have an I/O imbalance.

world of SQL programming. There's no magic in tuning and while
