Carrara Tutorial - Little Planet

This tutorial will show how to build an animated world. It consists of a little planet, populated with items like a city with skyscrapers, a farm house, mountains, clouds, and more. A car is driving around on the planet, and the camera follows it.

Backlight Effects in Carrara Studio 1.1

This technique uses one or more spot lights placed behind the 3D text or object and pointed at the camera (or just about in that direction). The goal is to be observing this from inside the light cone, and to enable the cone's visibility in the Effects tab of the properties tray. You'll then be 'submerged' in the flood of light. If you also enable the 3D shadows (also with the light cone controls) then you'll see some 3D streaks emanating from behind the text objects.
