The course is designed to provide an overview of typical medical transcription skills and training aptitude, allowing assessment of personal capability and interest. It also provides an overview of the industry itself, job opportunities, certification, and other related information.

Outcomes:

Enrollees may expect to be informed as to the "ins-and outs" of the industry, future applications, and to have a basic knowledge of what learning medical words and transcription skills requires.

The course is self-directed, with interactive exercises oriented for self-assessment.
